Honorary Consul for France
In 1995, Brigitte Dagot was appointed as the Honorary Consul
of France, for North and Central Florida, by the French Minister of Foreign
Affairs. She continues to serve in that capacity and is the Senior Honorary
Consul among all the Honorary Consuls in Central Florida. As the Honorary
Consul of France, Ms. Dagot acts as a liaison for the French
Government to assist French citizens in North and Central Florida. She also
assists French citizens with their passport needs, support in the event of
an arrest and provides assistance in any other capacity in which she is able. Ms.
Dagot is also responsible for conducting proxy elections to allow
French Citizens in Florida to vote in French elections. Additionally, she
is at times involved in diplomatic matters and organizes diplomatic visits
from Ministers of France.
In 2000 the French Government knighted Brigitte Dagot as “Chevalier De L’ordre Du Merite” which is among the highest of distinctions a person may be honored to receive in France. She received her title and the attendant recognition based upon her extraordinary contributions. She is known to go well beyond the call of duty or normal expectations when called upon by the French government.
Ms. Brigitte Dagot is also the Vice-President of the French American Business Consul in Orlando, Florida. She is an accomplished businesswoman and professional. She owns her own tourist and marketing company, mainly dealing with France, the United Kingdom and Western Europe. For years she has dealt with the European market traveling to and investing in the United States. She assists French companies that wish to invest in Florida and provides support and guidance to American companies seeking to invest in France. Additionally, Ms. Dagot also organizes monthly events to connect French businesses with local businesses as to facilitate business and cultural interaction.
Ms. Dagot provides an invaluable service to the Firm, as an International Consultant. With her senior position as an Honorary Consul and the immense experience and connections she has developed over the past 12 years serving in that capacity, she is closely attuned to the needs, wants and desires of the international traveler and client, who is seeking to visit, extend their stay, invest or reside in the United States.
Ms. Dagot is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
