John
W. Zielinski was born in Hammond, Indiana in 1961. In 1983, he obtained
his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois and in 1986,
he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois.
Mr. Zielinski has over 22 years of Civil Litigation experience in multiple jurisdictions,
including Florida (2001), Illinois (1986) and Indiana State Courts
(1995). He has litigated in the United District Courts for the Northern
District of Illinois and the Northern District of Indiana and has practiced
in the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Florida since
2003. He routinely and successfully litigates civil disputes, some
of which include commercial contract disputes, real estate contracts, commercial
and residential landlord/tenant disagreements, mortgage foreclosure cases, and contested wills.
Mr. Zielinski is a regular speaker for the National Business Institute as well as the Lorman Education Services. He has presented tactics and strategies for lawyers on topics such as Discovery, Judgment Attainment/Collection, and Settlement Techniques and Strategies. Mr. Zielinski is also an active advocate in the Orange County Bar Association’s Pro Bono Guardian Ad Litem program. He provides legal counsel in conjunction with Florida’s Department of Children and Families to give the underserved children of Central Florida the voice and the benefits they need. To date Mr. Zielinski has dedicated over 150 case hours of his time assisting the troubled children of Orange County.
In 2007, Mr. Zielinski obtained his certification from the Florida Supreme Court to serve as mediator for cases filed in Florida’s Circuit and County Courts. His 22 years of experience, coupled with the knowledge gained from the mediation certification program, allows him to productively negotiate his clients’ positions in mediations.
As a husband and father, Mr. Zielinski brings a special kind of compassion and tenacity to every client he represents. He understands the struggles of families and business owners and takes pride in working diligently for the best results.
In 2008, Mr. Zielinski joined the Firm as a Partner. The diversity of his legal background brings the Firm a seasoned civil and commercial litigator who is experienced and knowledgeable in multiple areas of the law. Mr. Zielinski’s tenacity, along with his compassionate disposition and unwavering commitment to his clients is a welcome and valuable addition to the Firm’s Civil Division.
