Haseeb Jabbar
Haseeb R. Jabbar is an attorney whose practice encompasses all
aspects of criminal, immigration and business
law. Having worked with a commercial litigation firm and
a health law firm in the Orlando area, his practice currently emphasizes
the representation of clients in matters involving business
law and litigation, administrative
law, professional licensing and immigration.
His practice also includes litigation of non-compete agreements,
trade secrets, and various other forms of intellectual property
Haseeb was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and since the age of six,
was raised in the town of Okeechobee, Florida, where he graduated from
Okeechobee High School. He attended the University of Miami where he received
a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering (with honors) and two
Master of Science degrees; one in Biomedical Engineering and the other
in Industrial Engineering.
During his graduate studies, Haseeb worked with Johnson & Johnson’s
Cordis Corporation, a major biomedical company in Miami Lakes, Florida.
Before attending law school, Haseeb worked with the University of Florida’s
Center for Biomaterials as a Research Scientist, where he co-invented
a method for coating medical implants with a more bacterial resistant
surface. He also worked as a project consultant for an Italian based biomedical
company in seeking FDA approval of various medical devices manufactured
in Italy.
Haseeb earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College
of Law. Throughout law school, Haseeb served as Galley’s Editor
and Articles Editor for the Journal of Technology Law & Policy. Haseeb
was also elected by his peers as the President of the Intellectual Property & Technology
Law Association for two consecutive years and competed in the Saul Lefkowitz
Trademark Moot Court Competition in Atlanta, Georgia. He was also awarded
the Evelyn Hartmann Scholarship for Outstanding Student Leadership. During
law school, Haseeb worked as a Certified Legal Intern with the Ocala State
Attorney’s Office. He also worked with the Office of Technology
Licensing at the University of Florida and clerked with two separate Intellectual
Property Boutiques in North and Central Florida, respectively.
Haseeb is fluent in Arabic, conversational in Urdu and Hindi and functional
in Spanish.
