Tumarkin

Criminal Defense Lawyer Daniel Tumarkin was born
in 1956, and has been a lifelong resident
of Florida.
Daniel Tumarkin attended University of Florida, receiving
a B.A. with honors in 1979, and a J.D. in 1982. He was admitted to the
Florida Bar in 1982, and U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida
in 1983.
Defense lawyer Daniel Tumarkin has practiced exclusively
in the field of criminal defense for over 25 years, and has litigated
over 250 jury trials. Daniel has
achieved an "AV" rating overall, which is the highest ranking
bestowed by Martindale-Hubbell, the national attorney ranking service.
Based on Daniel's experience, qualifications and integrity, on six occasions
the Judicial Nominating Committee has nominated Daniel to be appointed
as an Orange County Judge by the FL Governor. Additionally,
the FL Supreme Court had appointed Daniel to the Children's Court
Improvement Committee,
which is a committee that coordinates with the Court to improve
efficiency in juvenile and dependency cases. Daniel was also the
Juvenile Justice
Council Co-Chair from 1994-2000, and coordinated with the courts,
the police and safety shelters with educational programs to make
the juvenile domestic battery system more efficient.
Daniel served in the Osceola County Domestic Violence Task Force-Judicial/Court
Subcommittee Chair 94-95, and has served as a judge for Osceola
County Teen Court.
As a defense lawyer, Daniel Tumarkin practices criminal
law and has a reported case of State of Florida vs. Lawrence Randolph
Howard,
632 So.2d 1044 (Fla. 5th DCA 1994).
