Attorney Shahzad Ahmed files lawsuit against US Immigration and Department of State
Attorney Shahzad Ahmed with NeJame Law has filed a lawsuit in Federal Court for an Iranian national whose immigrant visa has been held up by the US Consular post. And this is just the beginning.
Under the President's Executive Order, as of January 28, 2017, all U.S. embassies and consular posts were instructed to immediately SUSPEND THE ISSUANCE OF IMMIGRANT AND NON-IMMIGRANT VISAS for nationals of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. In addition, contractors have been instructed to cancel visa interviews.
Attorney Ahmed said, “We will not stand for this injustice. We will meet this challenge. We will meet it not by fear or anger, but rather by calm and firm engagement with the media and the legal and political processes. We will win!”
