Orlando Personal Injury Attorney
DeLayne Penland is an Associate Attorney with the firm’s Personal Injury Division. With her outgoing personality, commitment to her clients, and dedication to securing the best recoveries possible for them, DeLayne joined NeJame Law with an almost unparalleled background in personal injury. Beginning her legal career in 2007 as a paralegal, attorney DeLayne Penland had a thirst and love for the law. Once securing her paralegal degree, she decided to open her own company, providing paralegal services for Personal Injury attorneys around the state. Many resolutions from many Personal Injury law firms were actually the result of the hidden work and talent of DeLayne through her paralegal company. She would do the work, research, and secure the settlements and then turn them over to the attorneys who hired her, with them receiving the credit. After almost a decade of providing such services on thousands of personal injury cases for numerous lawyers throughout the state, DeLayne decided that she would go to law school herself. Upon her completion of law school she went to work for another litigation firm but when the opportunity to join NeJame Law occurred, she was quickly made an offer and soon joined the firm. Since then she has provided extraordinary services to the firms many personal injury clients, including relatively minor injury cases to those including death and massive injuries.
DeLayne's experience translated well to her work as an advocate for victims of negligence and other injuries. A primary goal with each case is keeping an open line of communication with each client. She follows the philosophy that there is no “one size fits all” approach to client satisfaction, so providing an individualized experience for each person is important and necessary. Having both passion and compassion, DeLayne is a unique attorney who understands the law, has an abundance of experience, and possesses the human qualities necessary for an attorney to be most effective.
DeLayne was raised in Kentucky and moved to Altamonte Springs when she was 12. While she now calls Central Florida home, she never lost that Kentucky southern hospitality demeanor, and always treats her clients like family. In her spare time, DeLayne enjoys spending time with her family and her rescue pups, Fig, Annie, and Zen.
DeLayne is licensed to practice law in all Florida courts and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is excited and honored to work with each of her clients and to assist them as they work together through the challenges, financial issues, and complexities regarding their case. DeLayne makes herself available to all her client’s, having her mobile number available to each one so that they know she is never more than a phone call away for them.
