ORLANDO -- Mark NeJame, a high-profile Orlando attorney who once represented the grandparents of Caylee Anthony, said he is now joining the search for missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings.
NeJame said he and the nonprofit group Texas EquuSearch are joining forces to help the family of the missing Putnam County girl believed to have been kidnapped from her home in February.
The attorney said he was contacted by Haleigh's relatives to help find her, and he reached out to EquuSearch to come back to Florida to help with the search.
NeJame and EquuSearch founder Tim Miller are planning to reveal more details about their plans at a news conference Monday.
NeJame represented George and Cindy Anthony during much of the search for their granddaughter. He resigned Nov. 20, 2008, because of what he called “difference of opinion.”
He has since represented Miller and EquuSearch in court proceedings in the case against Casey Anthony, who is charged with her daughter's murder.
A $35,000 reward remains in place for a tip leading to Haleigh's return.
