ORLANDO -- A St. Cloud man charged with pushing his girlfriend to her death off a hotel balcony has been released from jail again.
Jonathan Speegle was released from jail Friday after a judge reinstated a $50,000 bond against him.
He was rearrested this week after a grand jury indicted him on second-degree murder charges in the death of Nichole Hammond, 30.
Hammond died after falling from the balcony of the couple's room at the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort & Convention Center.
Investigators have said there is no way Hammond could have gone off the balcony without help.
However, Speegle's lawyer, Mark NeJame, argues he hasn't seen any evidence yet showing his client was involved.
“You know they've taken three and a half months to get this far, and I think we're entitled to three and a half minutes. They haven't given us the evidence yet, so when we get the discovery, we'll see. But all indications we've seen is that this is a sad and unfortunate death. But my client Mr. Speegle absolutely didn't cause it,” NeJame said.
Speegle was released shortly after his original arrest.
The next hearing in the case is set for June 2.
