For the second year in a row, readers of the Orlando Business Journal have voted NeJame Law as the “Best Law Firm In Central Florida.” The firm won the honor in 2012 and its second consecutive win was announced in the October 18 edition of the Orlando Business Journal.
“We’re very grateful for the recognition and support we receive here in Central Florida,” said Mark NeJame, founder and senior partner of the firm. “We feel strongly about our obligation to live up to the confidence the community places in us.”
The honor comes as the firm is expanding, adding new divisions to focus its work in personal injury, real estate, intellectual property law, white color crime and civil litigation.
“Our work in the criminal arena is well recognized,” NeJame added, “but not everyone is aware that we have very experienced attorneys who practice in the areas of personal injury, immigration, real estate and intellectual property. And of course, we have excellent litigators who are very effective trial attorneys for both civil and criminal matters.”
NeJame noted that one of the firm’s strengths is its ability to serve clients from diverse cultural backgrounds; the attorneys and staff speak many languages including Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
“Central Florida is a melting pot,” NeJame observed, “so we feel that we need to be able to help our neighbors with a wide variety of legal issues, and to do it in their own native language whenever possible.”
That focus on community extends beyond business: With his wife, Josie, NeJame co-founded Runway To Hope (www.runwaytohope.org), a charity that has raised more than $1 million to fight children’s cancer in just three years; its signature event has been named as the best charity gala in Central Florida.
