Mark NeJame, one of Orlando's most high-profile attorneys, is growing his office presence in downtown.
The senior partner of NeJame Law's related Downtown Orlando LandHoldings Inc. in December bought a 2,636-square-foot office condo in the North Tower of the Chase Plaza for $500,000, or $189.68 per square foot, from Florida Home Showcase LLC, whose managing member is attorney Donald J. Masten, Orange County records showed.
NeJame Law already had existing office space on 18th floor of Chase Plaza's South Tower, so this additional suite brings the firm's total to more than 10,000 square feet in downtown.
K. Patrick Whalen of Stirling Sotheby's Commercial Group represented both parties in the sale of the office space, which is at 121 S. Orange Ave. The sale represents the highest price per square foot sale at the Chase Plaza within the last three years.
NeJame's practice continues to grow, prompting the need for more office space, as he previously told Orlando Business Journal he anticipates hiring another four to six attorneys this year.
NeJame currently is representing Orlando businessman Nikesh A. Patel, who faces $150 million in alleged fraud charges.
NeJame's office purchase also adds to the flurry office real estate activity taking place in downtown. Here's a look at some other recent deals:
